Easing Rollout Pains

A major operator in North America was rolling out its 3G network - complete with new devices, portals, and state of the art ECMAScript (Javascript Mobile) enabled browsers. However, due to the complexity of the browsers, and the differing implementations of browser specifications across the devices, it was encountering difficulties in ensuring a standard user experience for its customers.

Consistency is the Key Ingredient

We worked with the carrier’s Product team to refine requirements. We then developed a comprehensive test suite for the carrier to ensure a set of consistent browser behavior. Working with the carrier’s Quality Assurance teams and the various software vendors, we developed a streamlined "triage" process to rapidly resolve major issues.

Road to Launch

Empowered with a process to find and resolve issues, the carrier’s Quality Assurance team was able to quickly ensure a more consistent user experience. Vendors were able to resolve issues faster because they understood the carrier’s priorities. Ultimately, the carrier successfully launched its 3G network with some of the most technologically advanced browsers on its devices.
