Infraware overcomes complex market development challenges to expand into the US market

OPPORTUNITY

Having dominated its home market of South Korea, Infraware wanted to expand its mobile browser software business into the US market.  Faced with the US wireless operators’ complex handset software approval process, Infraware wasn’t able to leverage its existing licensing agreements with Samsung and LGE.  After multiple failed efforts by Infraware and its handset customers, Alchemic Solutions Group (“ASG”) was engaged to assist with their market development effort.

SOLUTION

Over a 6-month period, ASG’s expertise in mobile browsing products and handset software approval process was used to execute on a market development plan.  Through our persistent management and lobbying activities with the operator product managers, ASG served as the critical communication bridge between the wireless operator product managers and Infraware’s product development team in Seoul.

RESULTS

In successfully navigating the handset software approval process, Infraware was able to leverage its existing licensing agreements and saw its share price triple and rapidly grew its market shares of one tier one operator to 30% in just three years.
