Executive Team
The Alchemic Solutions team is made up of partners who have extensive operating experience in technology, marketing and business operations.
Ray Taylor has worked in the wireless industry for over twenty-five years. Most recently, Ray co-founded Youplus, an innovative marketing platform connecting consumers with sample offers from brands and local merchants on mobile. Previously, Ray served as President of the North American division of Lumata, a London based, private equity-backed mobile marketing company spun off from Buongiorno SpA, an Italian public company. At Buongiorno, Ray was President of the U.S. operating unit responsible for consolidating the product portfolio, new product development, increasing revenue and introducing new and innovative services to Sprint, Virgin Mobile and Verizon. Before Buongiorno, Ray served as President and CEO of Mobopia Corporation and was an Executive in Residence at Storm Ventures.
Ray has held Engineering, Marketing and Executive roles within Verizon Wireless and Bell Atlantic Mobile spanning more than 16 years of service. As Executive Director of the Consumer Multimedia Products group at Verizon, Ray had responsibility for both product development and product management. Under Ray’s leadership Verizon launched the first 3G services in the U.S. under the VCAST brand, along with a series of wireless data products, paving way to 4G LTE. Today these services generate billions of dollars annually. Ray has provided consulting expertise to clients including Microsoft, Verisign, SK Telecom and several venture capital firms.
Ray is a frequent speaker and participant within the Silicon Valley venture and technology community. He serves on the CTIA Innovation Council, and as EIR at SK Telecom Americas Innovation Accelerator.

Peter is a co-founder and Partner of Alchemic Solutions. He has been leading product development for wireless and mobile applications for more than 18 years. Recently, Peter was the Vice President of Market Development for ACCESS Systems Americas (formerly PalmSource) where he managed a product and technology incubator of mobile solutions for 4G services. Prior to ACCESS, Peter was the Chief Technology Officer and co-founder of Mobopia, an early stage wireless software and services provider in Silicon Valley.
Peter is a serial entrepreneur and has held senior management roles in multiple start-ups. He was a member of the development team at Geoworks that successfully deployed the world's first successful smartphone, the Nokia 9000 Communicator. Peter holds a BS, EE from UC Berkeley.

Mark is a serial entrepreneur with over 18 years of hands-on development leadership from the software industry. Most recently, Mark co-founded JukePop, an innovative incubation platform for fiction writers to quickly test and iterate on their stories. At JukePop, Mark served as CTO and was responsible for leading the development team in the design and development of the web and mobile platform.
Previously, Mark co-founded Mobopia, a wireless software company, where he served as chief architect and led a team to create their Flash based application platform for mobile phones. Earlier Mark was a founding member at Proximex. As the chief architect at Proximex, Mark was responsible for BioWatch, an advanced enterprise-level security and surveillance software. Prior to that, he was an engineering manager at NetIQ, responsible for delivering AppManager, a mission-critical enterprise management solution. Mark has a BS, EE from UC Berkeley.

Jane Chen | Partner
Jane brings entrepreneurial spirit and over a decade of global business development and operating experience. Currently, Jane’s focused on further advancing wireless mobile software solutions. Prior to joining Alchemic Solutions, Jane was a founding member of Proximex Corporation, developing enterprise-level security and surveillance software. Previously, Jane held engineering management and consulting positions at NetIQ, Deloitte Consulting and Ernst and Young. Jane is a frequent participant at Stanford/MIT Venture Lab, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the growth and success of high-tech entrepreneurial ventures by connecting ideas, technology and people.
